Kirby

A man came to my door yesterday around 1:30 in the afternoon. The first thing that he did was ring my doorbell. Now everyday at 1:00 I put my twins down for a nap, so someone ringing my doorbell at 1:30 is not something that makes me happy. Anyway this man was not someone that I would describe as "clean cut," and he was an oldish gentleman. He wanted to sell me a Kirby Vacuum, and as a special offer he was offering a knife set which he pulled out and showed me. Now if you are a salesman, going door to door selling vacuums, in the middle of the day to stay at home moms (who are most likely home alone with their kids this time of day), and you are not really great at making yourself presentable...is pulling out a knife set the best way that you can think of to get in the door to make a sale??? He didn't make it in my door that's for sure. I also locked the door behind him and made it a point to go out and shut down both of my garage doors while he was still in my driveway. Idiot.

Why do you even open the door? I just yell through the cracks "not interested" and then walk away. Harsh, but effective. You wouldn't believe the number of people who come through our neighborhood!

We had a "Kirby" guy come to our house. I wasn't home, but he gave his spill to Josh. Josh was quite impressed with the vacuum, but not the price. The guy started out at $2,300.00 and by the time he left he was down to $1,100.00. Seriously, who pays that kind of money for a vacuum? Not us! We have too many kids to feed. Kirby's are not edible!

We had a lady come to our house at 9:30 PM to try to sell us a Rainbow Vacuum. She stayed until after ten and Maclaine was so mad! She wouldn't leave and we kept telling her no....I agree, idiot. I love to hear your stories Sara, you are hilarious!

This goes back to the christmas decoration post. A-freakin-men about the blow up people. I don't like them one bit.

Okay - whatever people - Chris bought me a kirby in St. George AND I LOVE IT! But the salesman was an older guy that was really nice. Anyway - still have the ol' kirby. But, I probably wouldn't have bought one from scary man with knife set! I had so much fun at dinner - we need to do it again soon!

Hey, I used to use a kirby vacuum at one of my old jobs. I happen to think that they are very good vacuums. The only thing is that #1 I don't have the money to buy one and #2 he was a stranger with a knife set trying to come in my house!
I still hate those blow up christmas ornaments.
