I wanted to get this down before I forgot it. On New Year's Eve, we went to Jill and Tracy's house to hang out. They got a new toilet not too long ago and it sits a little higher than the ones at our house. So while we are there Chris tells me that he has to go to the potty and I took him into the bathroom and he says "Me get to go pee on Nanny's BIG potty!" I thought that it was funny that he would notice that it was different than ours. Well about ten minutes later I was back in there with Brooklyn and someone had put the lid down (Jill has a cover on it that matches her rugs) and Brook started to rub it with both hands and snuggle it and she says "Nanny's potty is so soft!"
Lately I have been experimenting with Phase Two of potty training-Leaving the House in undies. On Sunday I took the kids to Nursery with their undies on and I told myself that I would go in and take them to the bathroom after RS got over. Well I forgot and it was halfway through Sunday School when I remembered. So when SS was over my mom and I hustled into Nursery and took them to the potty. Chris went, my mom was helping Brook but she wouldn't go. So I went into the stall and I was telling her "Can't you just go a little bit for me? You need to go don't you?" And she looked up at me and says "I got nothin' Mom, just nothin'." Where did she hear that? I was laughing pretty hard about it.
I was pretty proud of both of them for not having any accidents in the nursery. We have also been to my mom's house, Aunt Rose's house (including the car ride), and a few little trips around town. It is going pretty well, Brooklyn has even started to pee her pants and then stop herself and come and tell me that she needs to go, which is a major breakthrough from the last couple of weeks where she wouldn't tell me until she was done.
