Well I was outside playing with the kids today, and my very first tulip has opened up. It is pretty. Now I know that you city folks have been enjoying tulips for a couple of weeks now but up here in the mountains, it takes a while longer. I was also digging out some weeds in my garden (which hasn't been planted yet), and I noticed that I have three asparagus coming up! I can't eat them until next year because I just planted them last year and you have to wait two years until they are ready to eat, but even still it is a good sign that they survived the winter. My beautiful Canadian Chokecherry is all budded out and will be in bloom soon. And we have already reached 73 glorious degrees today! This is my favorite time of the year, and I am so glad to report that the deer only sort of ate two of my tulips this year...I would like to thank Noretta Peterson for her advice on putting Cayenne pepper in my flower beds for protection from hungry animals. It worked and I will be doing it every year from now on!
Tonight I have my first Usborne Books Home Show, I am really excited, I hope that lots of people come.
I was also at the bank today, they really want me to come back and be an on-call employee (like my dad is). I don't know if I should do it or not. I really don't mind the work, it is just the act of getting up, spending all day there and knowing that I didn't get my list of daily household chores done. Will it be worth the little amount of money that I would be making?
